Yeah it was a blinding day, all of you guys fout really well, it was a shame i hurt my foot but oh well lol its on the mend, but i hope to see more of u guys competing in the near futer too, well done to all those who got a trophie too.

I think that this discussion is a gr8 idea. I just wanna say that everyone fought well and there were some performances by people who have never performed as well, before. I believe that after looking back at my fight, I know what to do to improve and I know my mistakes and have corrected them. I have started training, based on my mistakes and think you should too. I think that we should use class as an opportunity to apply what we have learnt from the competition. There are competitions coming up and I hope that every1 recieved a taste of what it will be like and wish every1 luck for the comp and the future. I definately want to attend the competition and give it my best shot only to improve from my kistakes afterwards.

Yeah the day was definitly great! It was also a great way for the two classes to gain more experience. I found many of the matches incredible and also i think the atmosphere on the day was great. Only thing now to say is I'm looking forward to the future tournaments in the next couple of months.

From my observation during centre ref i could see that majority of fighers were kicking in the right target areas but lack the snap when making contact. This can be achieved with a slight adjustment in the position of the knee but more importantly in the snap of the kick. Improving ure flexibility in the hamstrings and strengthening the quads will defintly help in improveing the speed and power of your kicks. Also we need to bare in mind that what are the judges looking for to enable you to score a point. They wanna hear a clear sound so hitting the pad and makeing the sound is very important regardless if you have power in the kick. Sound on impact will make your sparring more achkowladbalge to the corner judges and at the end of the day they are the ones that score your points.

Well it was indeed an amazing day. I was so impressed by the children, Esrar and Ensar you must be so proud of your little dragons! I am of course justly proud of my two boys (Oscar and Cosmo) who both fought hard with great focus and won prizes. For me little Mohammed from Attlee really deserves a mention for his sheer determination and courage! It was great to meet the other club and see them in action. For me I learned how much I have to learn! The Tae Kwon Do bug is burning in my heart with an even greater fire than before. It was a day of love and respect and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our masters (and I am sure I speak for all of us in Hadri) for organising this and giving us such a wonderful opportunity, I think we are truly blessed to have them and this great art in our lives. Hi guys! It was an awesome day for sure! Finally I've managed to control the "fear factor" that comes with the competitions, I remember my first competition I couldn't even lift my knees because I was thinking WAYYY too negative. I guess the biggest tip I can give to everyone else going for competition is not to worry too much and just focus on having fun and doing your thing. As long you've been training hard and prepared for it, that's the most important thing, then just let go and enjoy your fight.

John, you never told me you was gonna upload one of our fights on youtube?? Had to be my worst fight ever too! LOL! Was kinda looking forward to sparring with you last Tuesday but 10 seconds later the whistle went and we had to change. Look forward to our next sparring match. Have to admit though, it took me a while to get used to your hook kicks, but I've got a little something up my sleeve I'll be testing on you next week! hehe

Can't wait till June 1st for the Bournemouth competition... I reckon it will be our best ever!!

lol i did ask im sure lol im kinda gonna try all sorts of stuff too in sparring, i kinda realise the way i spar i usually end up hurtin meself lol yeah i also cant wait for bournmouth jus need me foot to hurry up lol
